Siobhan CowlingSiobhan Cowling took her first degree in Psychology and Sports Science at Birmingham University before qualifying as a physiotherapist at the Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry in 1992. After completing rotational posts at hospitals in Worcester and Oswestry she chose to specialise in treating outpatients with musculoskeletal problems. She has been a specialist in this area for over 11 years and has a wealth of clinical experience, much of that time treating patients in the private sector. She has close links with Chester orthopaedic consultants and pain specialists having worked at the Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital for many years. Siobhan's specialised clinical skills were recognised by Keele University who invited her to become a part-time lecturer on the physiotherapy degree course, where she was able to successfully combine this lecturing role with her clinical role for five years. Siobhan specialises in manual therapy, mobilising and manipulating stiff joints, and releasing tight soft tissues. In her practice she combines this with offering advice on general and specific therapeutic exercises. Siobhan has a very "hands on" approach to her patients fostered by her post-graduate training through the MACP, "the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists" Siobhan is also qualified for using acupuncture and will often combine more conventional physiotherapy techniques with acupuncture to obtain effective pain relief. Siobhan is a registered provider with all the major insurance groups, and is also registered with The Health Professions Council.
Liz EamesSince completing her training at The British School of Shiatsu-Do (London) in 1997 Liz returned to Liverpool to set up as a Shiatsu practitioner. She is registered with the Shiatsu Society and teaches at The School of Shiatsu (Liverpool) where she is Principal. Liz's clients range from 3months to 82 years with conditions as diverse as sports injuries to arthritis. Liz specializes in women's health from menstrual problems to pregnancy and through menopause. Having moved with her family to North Wales in 2002 she is now looking orward to expanding her practice at The Blue Banyan Healing Center.
Wendy MonksWendy has been practising Reiki healing for over ten years and is a Master/Teacher of both Usui and Karuna Reiki. She brings to her Reiki practice experience of natural healing in many traditions and disciplines over a number of years. Besides Reiki, Wendy practises Allergy Therapy (utilising applied kinesiology and homoeopathic treatments) teaches and attunes to Reiki and runs guided meditation and spiritual empowerment courses.
Meirion EllisMeirion Ellis is a qualified clinical hypnotherapist registered with the National Council for Hypnotherapy (UK) and the National Guild of Hypnotists (USA). He holds diploma's in Hypnosis, Clinical and Advanced Hypnosis and the latest externally verified UK hypnotherapy qualification, the HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma). Meirion has trained in the use of hypnotherapy for the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and is listed on the UK Register of IBS Therapists. He is a qualified practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and also Meridian Energy Therapy (EFT and Freeway-CER).
